NIKON SCHOOL UK ANNOUNCES PERMANENT ONLINE PRESENCE

The Nikon School has announced its permanent move online and will be closing its physical presence on Margaret Street in Central London.

In light of Covid-19 and the national lockdown in March this year, the Nikon School in Central London postponed courses. At the time, this was a temporary measure but now, Nikon has announced this will be a permanent move as they can reach a larger audience and use improved teaching methods by focusing their lessons online. Those attending can now, also, receive recorded sessions to review after the course has been completed, furthering their educational opportunities.

The move online has been incredibly positive for Nikon as the school has received over 3,000 new bookings and has, to date, provided online education to over 2,000 passionate photographers. Since its online transition, it has also welcomed additional content, such as talks from world-renowned photographers including Helen Sloane (Game of Thrones official photographer) and Jasin Boland (Hollywood film photographer).

Going forward, Nikon will adjust its pricing structure, offer more varied courses, one-to-one sessions and inspiring talks from the best photographers the industry has to offer.

Nikon had always been excellent at reaching out through training and customer support, i've very much enjoyed courses there.
I can also see the great opportunity to more easily support the whole country through online and recorded training and also hope they can utilise local ambassadors or pro photographers to run regional gatherings for the experience of learning direct from an established Nikon expert - many of the modelling sites already promote masterclasses in different photographic areas. Perhaps Nikon could offer 25% off accredited local courses with each new camera sold?

A virtual tour of Iceland, No thanks I would rather do it for real when conditions allow. This is just Nikon saving costs, instead of reality watch a video and turn into a couch potatoe Smile
