Photojournalist Nick Ray has been touring the UK taking low light photos with the Nokia Lumia 925.
The project aimed to capture some previously hidden human stories. Nick captured the hidden lives of people at night and shed light on their amazing stories that would otherwise go untold or unseen.
From nurses tending unwanted pets looked after around the clock at an RSPCA animal shelter in Stoke Newington to burlesque performers in Soho getting ready to bring Soho to life, all the nightlife was captured on the Nokia Lumia 925 with its 8.7 megapixel camera.

The images reveal the hidden homeless community sleeping rough on the urban streets of Liverpool city centre as well as images, one of which is shown above, of Chloe, a 24-year-old young mother that by day is a beautician, by night a Junior World and European champion in kickboxing. Chloe puts her five-year-old daughter to bed and heads to late night training at the UK’s leading MMA fighting venue in Leeds.
Photographer Nick Ray has over 20 years of experience covering news assignments across the world, with assignments in Iraq and Afganistan. Nick has been regularly commissioned to shoot celebrities and members of Parliament.
