Nokia Smartphones To Feature ZEISS Optics Again

Nokia is trying to attract photographers and others who value the quality of cameras in smartphones by putting ZEISS lenses back in their smartphones.

HMD Global, who license the Nokia brand name, is hoping that this team-up with the well-known optic brand will help revive the Nokia name and going forward, ZEISS lenses will feature in all new Nokia smartphones. 

Nokia and ZEISS do already have a shared history with the two previously working together until Nokia sold their smartphone division to Microsoft. The past collaboration saw the arrival of the world’s first multi-megapixel mobile phone and many more innovative devices, such as the Nokia Nseries and smartphones featuring Nokia PureView technologies. 

Going forward, the two big names want to 'set new imaging standards within the smartphone industry' and Arto Nummela, CEO, HMD Global believes that working with ZEISS will ensure this happens: "Collaborating with ZEISS is an important part of our commitment to always deliver the very best experience for our customers.
