Argos want to take you back in time with a new website that lets you browse 45 year's worth of catalogues which includes plenty of cameras and accessories.

If you don't have memories of flicking through and drawing circles around products in the Argos catalogue that you wanted your parents to buy you then you were obviously born way after the millennium! But, for those of us who remember is vividly, Argos has created the 'Book of Dreams' so we can go back and look through pages ranging from 1974 right through to the 2010s.
Of course, toys are going to be a big nostalgia moment but there are plenty of cameras featured on the pages, too, from film and instant cameras to the introduction of digital cameras; you can peruse your past purchases and, as we've done in the office, discuss the memories linked to them.
There's even camera buying advice which explains what a digital camera is, what pixel resolution means and why an LCD screen is a useful feature. Memory cards are also described at 'Digital Film' in the 2001/02 issue and they sit alongside rolls of film which, at the time, were still used by many.
An APS zoom in the 2001/02 issue was priced, from, £69 while the Canon PowerShot A10 with a 1.31MP CCD sensor, 3x optical zoom and a tiny LCD screen was priced at £299.
Should you want to take your trip down memory lane one step further, some of the cameras featured can, probably, be picked up at a reasonable price on the second-hand camera market from the likes of CameraWorld.
So, which of the cameras did you own? And do you remember where you were when sat browsing through the pages of the catalogue?
