Olympus are running a number of Workshops at the Olympus Image Space Gallery in London, near Liverpool Street Station, with a number of these events being run especially for ePHOTOzine members. We went along to the first event, “Get to know your Olympus Camera with Rob Pugh”. Rob Pugh is professional Wedding and Portrait Photographer.
The events are run in a large gallery showing prints from the Rock Archive (www.rockarchive.com) run by photographer Jill Furmanovsky currently featuring photos and album covers from Pink Floyd.

After everyone had arrived, and been offered a drink, of the tea or coffee variety, along with some biscuits and other snacks, Rob Pugh (www.rpphotographybydesign.co.uk) started by introducing himself explaining that he shoots weddings, portrait, boudoir and street photography internationally and nationally.

Rob went through the presentation, stopping at times to demonstrate features and settings to each person attending so they could see where to change settings. Rob was happy to show changing settings on your own camera, and answer any questions asked. Some of the areas covered included setting up the camera for quick access to settings, image workflow management, shooting with two cameras, getting the best shots through accurate focus, and many more.

After the presentation, Rob took time to answer any questions one to one and chatted to ePHOTOzine members. If you want to attend one of the next events, then you can find out more details below.
The next event is on the 4th of June 2014: 25 years of rock with Mick Hutson.
Followed by the 10th of June 2014: Portrait session with Damian McGillicuddy.
