Olympus say this is the World's first constant aperture professional grade zoom lens to cover 24-200mm (equivalent), with the new Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100mm f/4.0 IS PRO Micro Four Thirds lens. We were at the product launch in Photokina, and were able to have a hands-on look at the new lens.
The lens features "Sync IS" technology, and when combined with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II will offer up to 6.5 EV steps of compensation. The lens offers an 8.3x optical zoom lens, and is dust, splash and freezeproof. It can also focus down to 1.5cm for excellent macro performance.
