Olympus To Release Special Edition OM-D E-M10 Models: OM-D E-M10 Special Editions

Olympus has released special editions of the OM-D E-M10 camera, along with matching accessories.

Each E-M10 Limited Edition is available in a specially created shade of green, black or orange, and comes with an ‘OM-D’ lens cap that exactly matches the grip and shoulder strap. Shiny metal lettering on the cap extends the premium look and feel, as does the slightly different hue of the crevices and raised surfaces on the textured casing.

The OM-D E-M10 Limited Edition is available in three colour variations – orange and black which will be available through selected stockists and green, available exclusively at Harrods – from late June 2014, for £749.

So in the modern era, something that was started by Pentax with their weird and wonderful combinations, which we all know was laughed at. You now have Fujifilm and Olympus with their versions. Oh and don't forget Leica with their A La Carte models of film M7 and M-P.
Is it a good thing? But of course!
All black with smooth "leather" is just so boring. Give me a silver bodied M7 or X-PRO1 with a dark red leather, or indeed a K-50 in Green and Brown (great for birding).
As for the EM-10, I rather like the green one.

Harrods Green? I bet John Lewis will be green with envy for Olympus not choosing their company green colour instead, lol.

I don't expect Hermès crying for not having their orange colour on Olympus... Awww you lucky Leica fashionistas...

Available direct from Oly in the USA at a premium of $300 over the price of the humbler versions. I'm thinking NOT.
