The Olympus OM-D E-M5 II received an Editor's Choice award from ePHOTOzine and it would seem that David Thorpe also believes the E-M5 Mark II deserves high praise, describing it as a 'compelling buy' and 'the most complete Micro Four Thirds camera created so far'.

David says the E-M5 Mk II has a blend of features unmatched by previous cameras, including its image stabilisation, excellent grip and a soft shutter sound. High ISOs are controlled well and the Menu Recall is described by David as been a 'real-time saver'. Praise is given to the camera's EVF with David saying it's 'big, bright, crisp and easy to use' but the same can't be said about the menu system which he thinks is a little over complicated.

Some of the controls are a little too close together and easy to catch, plus, when tested, David occasionally had problems with the autofocus not locking on straight away. However, all of this can be forgiven thanks to the E-M5 II's crowning glory which is its image stabalisation, he says.

You can see what else David has to say about the E-M5 Mk II in the above video and don't forget to check out our review of the MFT camera, too.
