'On A Roll' With Tenba Roadie Bags From MacGroup

'On A Roll' With Tenba Roadie Bags From MacGroup  - When most people think 'roadie' they imagine a scruffy, middle-aged guy wearing black and pushing a large case of musical equipment around at a rock concert. In this instance however, we're referring to the new, innovative Roadie travel range of rolling camera bags from Tenba.

A sleek, durable, discreet case designed for photographers and filmmakers: This is the third incarnation of the Roadie range, with the latest collection arriving on the back of two years of design and development.

Since its inception, the Roadie series has evolved to become one of the best travel bag series available for photographers and videographers anywhere in the world. The build quality, attention to detail and numerous design innovations make it the ideal bag for anyone looking to travel safely and discreetly with their photographic equipment. Throw in the peace of mind offered by a five-year warranty and the only decision left is which size or model to buy.

Tenba

Industry first

The Roadie bag collection is fashioned to resemble high-end luggage rather than an obvious camera bag. Features include a removable camera insert (an industry first for a roller type case), plus an exterior pocket for a portable battery to keep your electronic devices charged when travelling. Best of all, almost the entire range (excluding the Roadie 24 only) is carry-on compatible, with the Road 21 Aircase offering what Tenba describes as a ‘un-crushable shell’ (taking up to 400kg of pressure) – this also ensures that it can be checked in as luggage, should its owner wish to do so.

Tenba 2

The new Roadie range’s removable camera insert will hold a DSLR body and two to three lenses – which can be carried in an optional lightweight travel bag (the Tenba Packlite 10 travel bag). This allows uses to leave the core case behind and just carry a lightweight camera kit, if so desired.

For use in locations involving sand, stairs or other challenging surfaces where rolling the bag may not be appropriate, the Roadie 21 Hybrid features a fast deploying backpack option, which comfortably raises all of your photo gear off the ground and on to your back.

Tenba 3

The side pocket of the Roadie bags doubles up as a tripod carrier (just drop in, tighten, and go). There is also a convenient strap that allows for the attachment of an extra bag, should you find yourself wishing for a ‘spare arm’ to carry that extra something. The exterior pocket fits a laptop and documents with a smaller pocket for accessories and PC cable.

Security features include a lockable zipper, plus a steel cable and padlock. The wheels are made from a high carbon steel bearings to ensure they move smoothly across all surfaces.

Padded handles are made from leather for comfort and a secure grip and inside the case, Velcro straps keep the lid open so you can easily get inside the pockets. A honeycomb internal frame provides excellent rigidity and a rain cover is provided for when the wet weather hits hard.

Available models include - Roller 18, Roller 21, Roller 21 Hybrid and Roller 21 Air Case. These all comply with most international carry-on regulations. The Roadie Roller 24, while not carry-on compatible, is designed to be a complete rolling studio, where camera and lenses can be stored along with lighting systems. In short, the Tenba Roadie will help you transport your gear efficiently and securely without any stress or strain.

To truly grasp the impressive look and functionality of the new Tenba Roadie III make sure you check out their product launch video on the @TenbaBagsUK Facebook page or website.

UK pricing ranges from £280 - £370, depending on size and model chosen.
