OPPO Find X3 Smartphone Series Launch With Dual 50MP Camera & A Focus On Photography

OPPO's latest range of flagship smartphones have been announced and the new Find X3 series has a major focus on photography and cinematography with colour accuracy taking centre-stage.

The Find X3 Pro, which updates the Oppo Find X2, has a 6.7-inch native 10-bit curved screen that supports a one-billion colour display so colours you see in video/photos are more accurate. OPPO call it a Full-Path Colour Management System that supports a much wider colour gamut so image and videos look as good as they can be and have a better dynamic range when viewed on the device. 

The Find X3 Pro is just 8.6mm thick and is constructed from 1 piece of glass so the unibody back cover is a continuous curved surface that has no blunt edges or harsh edges and it's either available in Gloss Black or Blue. OPPO says the Gloss Black version has an almost ceramic feel while the Blue version is frosted to 85% opacity that repels fingerprints. 

As for the cameras, there are 2 dual primary 50MP cameras (wide and ultra-wide) that use an IMX 766 Sony sensor, 3MP macro lens that gives the user access to 60X magnification which OPPO say will allow you to photograph grains of sand and a 13MP telephoto camera with 5x hybrid optical zoom and up to 20x digital zoom.

There's a built-in Pro mode for video/image capture that offers RAW shooting and various filters are available in the AI Palettes along with Slo-Mo and various other creative options. OPPO also promise low light performance to be excellent with them showing a low light selfie captured with the front-facing cutout camera in their launch video over on YouTube. 

Other features include a 2250mAh battery with wireless/wired charging and an IP68 dust/water-resistance rating.
