The outright convenience and flexibility of digital photography also means that there is a tendency to cart around lots of additional equipment, just to make sure you get the shot you wanted. Specifically that means touting a laptop on your travels so that pictures can be downloaded and cards cleared, ready for action the next day. However, your laptop is susceptible to damage if you carry it in any old bag, so what you really need is something stylish with lots of internal padding. Cue the Pakuma Akara range. This is the K1, and it's a beauty amongst backpacks. It's designed to fit most laptops up to 17”, has Duraflex buckles, YKK Zips and pullers, both chest and waist straps and an air support system to lessen the strain on your back.

Inside there are all kinds of pouches and pockets beyond the foam-padded, laptop love nest. Want to safely secure your PocketPC? No problem, there's a section just for it. Need extra room for top secret documents, or your passport and hotel booking confirmation- no problem. There are cable storage pouches, external meshes for bottles, areas for disc storage and even a CD wallet on a lead that clips on. If you've moved on in technology terms and want to know where to put your MP3 player, well there's an internal pouch for it, that has a sneaky exit hole to run the headphones out of, so the player can stay out of the wet while you listen to music. Finally, the interior fabric is a light grey colour so that you can actually find what you have stored inside.

Overall
It's very tough wearing and looks a treat in either black and brown with green piping or black and green with brown piping. This is a good job because it's a not inconsiderably £49.99. There are backpacks in the range that are cheaper, but let's face it, it's a small price to pay to keep your laptop and other techno-gadgets warm and safe.
