A lens with the 'Leica' brand behind it and a fast maximum f/1.7 aperture are attractive propositions but is the cost of the lens justified by image quality? This is just one of the many questions David Thrope is asking about the Panasonic 10-25mm f/1.7 lens in his latest video review.

David praises the build of the lens and also the image quality but he does say it's a little on the heavy side, it's also big and comes with an equally large price-tag.  

"Its performance is faultless, even compared to the best primes it can replace," says. David. 

In our review of the Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Summilux 10-25mm f/1.7 ASPH lens, we agreed that it's a superb bit of kit and a lovely lens to complement the MFT system. We also praised its sharpness, low distortion figures, well-controlled CA, good bokeh, build, fast AF and low levels of vignetting. 

There is a lot to like about this lens so long as you can afford it.
