Wow !!!...those test images are amazing !!!

The ISO test shots up to 3200 are superb....the Grey panel shows no noise/texture, &
the 0 to 6 mm scale in the bottom RH corner is rendered to perfection !!!.... & even
6400 looks perfectly usable, with 12800 & 25600 for emergencies ???

The White-balance images also show incredible resolution...the printing on the old film
cartons (centre right) is superb !!

I'm salivating over this beauty......if the full review is as good, I'll print it off & frame the
bugger !!!!!!!................

Niknut--I'm new to the site. The explanation at the top of the article says posting JPEG and RAW. I couldn't find the JPEG shots--unless Hi-Res means JPEG. Is that correct. Also, where can I find the ISO data you mention.
The site's full review of the GH3 can't come quickly enough!

Duh! Sorry, ignore my last question. Just found the ISO data under the shots!

What version of the GH3 firmware have you had?

JPG images don't tell you much about a camera's capabilities - and unfortunately the RAW links all seem to be broken. Even if I right click and download, I get no file.

Plus, it seems a little perverse to shoot demo studio shots on a new camera with a lens stopped down to f11 and thus well into diffraction with M43 lenses.

Not your finest hour, eP Sad

I've found from the EXIF, that your shots were taken with the Firmware Version, which as far as I know is not the final version, thus your statement about "the final image quality" is rather misleading.

Hi igor, we've been told by Panasonic that the camera is suitable for a full review, despite being an early firmware, as the firmware is complete regarding image quality, and yet to be updated is some of the functions in the camera, such as the scene guide.

Hi Joetsu

I assume the 'Hi-res' images are 'JPEG's'......there's no other reference or comparison
shots other than the 'Hi-res/RAW' highlighted in blue under each image.........

The ISO reference is to the Colour-Charts (9 of them) titled 'ISO test images.........

There used to be an old saying of 'Never mind the quality, feel the width'.....but with
these test shots you can definitely 'feel & see the quality' !!!!!!!!!!.GrinGrin
