A unique opportunity to buy cameras and images from the collection of the late Earl of Lichfield presents itself at a specialist Photographic Auction to be held by Special Auction Services in Newbury on Thursday 17 July 2014.
Patrick Lichfield (1939-2005) was an internationally renowned photographer whose work was published in all the major magazines and exhibited worldwide; he also published several books during his career. The National Portrait Gallery dedicated a retrospective exhibition to the first twenty years of his work in 2002.
This collection of around forty lots primarily consists of the cameras he worked with on a daily basis and his framed pictures, which hung on the walls of his London Studio.
This is the first occasion such items are going under the hammer and the auction is expected to attract international attention. The collection includes:
Hasselblad H1 + 4 HC Lenses and digital back - £3000 - £4000
Fujica Professional GSW690 & Fujica GW690 - £300 - £500
