Here's why this week's Pentax featured image stood out from the bunch.
| Pentax K-5 in Flowers and PlantsThis week, the image 'Orange roses' by pentaxpatty has been chosen as the Pentax featured image.
The image was taken with a Pentax K-5 using the Pentax-D FA 100mm f/2.8 lens, and here's why it stood out to us:
This image uses creative depth of field really well to emphasise the subtle textures of the rose. It's a beautiful rich orange colour that really grabs the eye.
The crop used gives the rose plenty of breathing space and it's laid on a surface that isn't too distracting. All in all, this a great still life image that's a little different to the usual 'flower in a vase' scene.
