Oi, Pentax Kon'nichiwa.
Great gear but, come on guys is the only aspect ratio 3:2 ?
Mama Ricoh was offering the 1:1 aspect ratio in Caplio R5 back in 2006.
I hate to think that you two don't talk to each other...

Hi Joshua; Thank you so much for posting the pictures. I have been very interested in real life pixel shift resolution samples. I do see that there quite a few artifacts because of the movement of leaves and branches. Motionless objects are amazingly sharp. Can you tell me if you turned on the motion correction option for the shots that had trees / leaves.

Thanks!

Hi Abdalian,

Yes MC was switched on, but didn't seem to make much difference for these examples with trees. I also took them with it switched off as well, and the results looked the same. I will be testing this further and will upload the results.

Thanks

Josh

Thanks Josh. I am wondering if you were you using a tripod? I can imagine with moving leaves it would be difficult to create the composite.

Hello Guyz, i have a question. Did you use for developing the raws lightroom or Pentax DCU? It seems that colors are moved more to the magenta or colder tones. I have the experience with Pentax 645Z that Lightroom is not able to open raws properly. It always do boring colors. I have checked the same picture you have shot with Sony A7r II on 55mm and i compare it with Pentax K-1 50mm 1.7. There is difference in color response and sharpnes. Did you use picture direcly from both cameras or they are raw processed? Thank you, Lukas

and about pixel shift. I have read somewhere that if the camera will find some movement it will automaticly apply to that area only the first shot image. I dont have experience with that but Pentax DCU has some part in developing in UI. I looking forward to K-1 Smile
