Pentax K-50 in Digital Cameras

Pentax K-50 White Large (1)

The Pentax K-50 is the latest weather proof DSLR from Pentax. Here is a run down of some of its features and how they can be used.

Weather resistant, dust proof body - The weather resistant and dust proof body of the K-50 will allow you to shoot in more adverse conditions than other DSLRs allow. For example, if it starts to rain, as long as it's not too heavy, you won't have to worry about your DSLR getting damaged from water. The dustproof feature also means that shooting in dry locations, such as the beach on a hot day or even the desert, is not an issue.

Shake reduction mechanism - The Pentax K-50 features an advanced SR (Shake Reduction) mechanism, helps minimise blur caused by camera shake. This means sharp images can be produced even when shooting in low light, when it is windy or with larger lenses.

6fps continuous shooting - High speed continuous shooting will help you capture those fast-paced action and sport shots. It's ideal for shooting images of pets or kids, as well as planes and motorsport.

Choice of two power supplies - The K-50 fits a rechargeable battery, but can also run off of AA batteries too using an adapter. This is great if you're caught short and your battery runs out, as AA batteries are a lot more widely available than camera batteries and are ideal to use as a standby if you don't want to invest in a second rechargeable battery.
