The camera features a new 24.32 megapixel CMOS image sensor capable of a max ISO of 819200. 5-axis image stabilisation is built in which should provide a compensation of 5 shutter stops hand-held.

It can also be used in a variety of weather conditions thanks to its weatherproof and dustproof body. The KP can also withstand temperatures of -10 degrees C.
