It's time to announce the winner of the Pentax HD D FA* 50mm f/1.4 lens which was up for grabs in the October 'Autumn' competition.

We really enjoyed looking through all of your autumnal images - there were some really stunning entries that summed up the season perfectly. You can view all the images entered into the competition in the competition forum

After looking through all of the entries, it was very difficult to choose just one image as the winner. Following a lot of deliberation, we went for an abstract macro image of a fallen leaf caught in some moss.

Congratulations to viscostatic, you are the lucky winner! We loved how the backlighting of this image really makes the bright yellows and oranges of the leaf pop. This is complemented by the fluffy green moss structures which frame the leaf to make it a really appealing capture.

Thank you to everyone for entering, you all made the competition very difficult to judge!
