A perfectly timed photo of a Common Kingfisher and its catch has won this week's 'Photo Of The Week' and a Samsung memory card.

The perfectly timed photo by Jamie_MacArthur, of a Common Kingfisher has been crowned our 'Photo of the Week' (POTW) winner on ePHOTOzine. The image is both striking and interesting, and shows the brightly coloured Common Kingfisher with its catch held firmly in its beak, landing on a tree, with the action frozen in time. You can see the beautiful colour and detail in the bird's feathers and the drops of water add to the image, with the soft blurred background helping focus your attention on the action.
