A wonderful image of the Perseid meteor shower has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade.
The image, titled '"SkyFall" - Perseid Meteor Shower 2017' by ePz member Johnnybairdphotography stood out from the crowd to the team here at ePHOTOzine and here's why we thought it deserved to win:
This image is truly stunning and must have taken a lot of effort to capture. The photographer states that this image is made from 40 photos, stacked to reduce noise in the background. Over 1700 images were captured over a 5 hour period in order to bring the image to life.
We loved the depth and detail in the sky as well as the foreground and church, which remains crystal clear. The image is well composed, using the rule of thirds well to leave space to the left open in order to allow you to fully take in the awe inspiring meteor shower. This is a fantastic capture of a rare and special event.
