Photo Transfer iOS App Performance

Your photos and videos are transferred directly from device to device using your local Wi-Fi network. They are not stored on an external server and they never leave your network. If you have more than one iOS device, such as an iPhone and an iPad, you can use your purchase to install the app on both, as long as the same iTunes account is used on both.

The user interface is clean and really easy to use. To send images and photos to your PC, you need to input the URL that the app gives you into your web browser. You then select the files you want to share and they appear as thumbnails on your computer. Images can be downloaded as a zip file in full resolution or singularly medium resolution. Alternatively you can select other, go through your albums and manually select which image files you want to download to your computer. Exchanging images and videos between iOS devices requires the app to be activated on both devices. Again it's just a case of selecting the files you want to share. If you're away from your Wi-Fi network, bluetooth devices can also send files to each other.

Photo Transfer iOS App Verdict

The Photo Transfer iOS app makes a really easy job of transferring your images and files between your computer and iOS devices. It has been designed with a simple and clear interface, making it really simple when following the instructions. Where the app may struggle to compete is with Apple's iCloud which has recently been launched and is free. If you want to move your images between devices without any complications the Photo Transfer App is likely to be worth the £1.99 it costs.
