Lavender field

Officially designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Cotswolds is known for being one of the most quintessentially 'English' and unspoiled regions of the UK. With its gentle hillsides, river valleys and delightful honey-coloured villages, there is plenty to offer the photographer and Image Seen, who specialise in photographic workshops and courses, will be taking full advantage of this picturesque region in July.

July's workshops also feature the added bonus of a visit to the Cotswolds lavender farm near Snowshill; one of the largest lavender farms in the south of England.

"As well as capturing the symmetry of the lines of lavender, the wonderful rolling swathes also offer us numerous opportunities for creative expression, with the chance to make use of long shutter speeds, multiple exposure and neutral density filters to produce some wonderful abstract and impressionistic images," Says Sarah Howard.

This one-day workshop is suitable for all ability levels. You will have the chance to create a number of images with constructive advice on composition, lighting, exposure, depth of field, focusing and filtration. There will also be a number of Lee hard and soft graduated filters on hand to try out as well as Big and Little Stoppers.

The one-day workshop is priced at £140 and takes place on 11 and 14 July 2016. For more information, visit the Image Seen website or call Sarah on: 07760 498 112.

As well as courses and workshops, Sarah shares photography tips via articles and techniques such as 'The Definitive Guide To Photographing Waterfalls' ePHOTOzine published last month. The Image Seen team will also be running a waterfall themed workshop in June and October of this year.
