Vintage lens fan Mathieu Stern takes on another model shoot with three vintage lenses.
| Portraits and People
Photographer Mathieu Stern is a huge fan of vintage lenses and he's putting his latest purchases to the test on a portrait shoot. Using the same model, Mathieu captures portraits with the Minolta 100mm f/2.5, Konica Hexanon 28mm f/3.5 and the Industar 50mm f/3.5.
All three lenses are reasonably priced and two of them can actually be purchased on Amazon. The Konica is priced at £79 while the Industar is available in different mounts, starting at £55. The Minolta 100mm f/2.5 is listed on ebay.com, but not the UK site, for $189.
Each lens actually produces lovely looking images with the bokeh in the shots captured with the Industar looking particularly pleasing.
If you do happen to be a little bonkers over bokeh, you should also take a look at Mathieu's tutorial on modifying an inexpensive Russian lens so it can be used on MFT cameras to capture dreamy portraits with blurred edges.
