LightBox Photography Cards: Macro Edition

LightBox Photography have come up with a rather clever little product that challenges your creative shooting skills.

The product is a deck of 52 cards but instead of finding kings and queens you'll see a series of challenges waiting to be tackled head-on.

The decks, the latest of which has just been launched over on Kickstarter, are filled with photographic ideas that are designed to encourage photographers as well as offer a few words of wisdom, too.

LightBox Photography Cards: Macro Edition

The newest deck is all about macro / close-up photography and here's what LightBox Photography have to say about their latest quirky product: "As before, this deck offers up 52 photo challenges, this time geared towards all you close-up/macro aficionados. Each card drawn will issue a challenging subject, offer up a bit of advice/wisdom/aimless meandering and highlight some gear you might find useful. Below the challenge will be a sample image showcasing how I went about fulfilling the challenge. You can use this image as inspiration - or go in a completely different direction - the choice is yours!"

LightBox Photography Cards: Macro Edition

The LightBox Photography Cards: Macro Edition Kickstarter project has already reached its funding goal, they did this in less than 3 hours in fact, and their original LightBox card set which also made its debut on Kickstarter was also funded, achieving 935% above its goal with nearly 2,000 backers from 27 different countries.

As well as the Kickstarter page, you'll find more details on the LightBox Photography Cards website where the original deck can be purchased for $10.

Quite a few other photography related companies are turning to Kickstarter now and successfully funding projects. This includes Olloclip who received 1,041 backers and $154,087 in funding. LOKI are also hoping for similar success with their Modular Camera Rig.
