Sports photographer Javier Garcia is head of sports photography for Shutterstock and BPI.
He uses Nikon gear to photograph top events in the sporting calendar, including Wimbledon. Javier says Wimbledon is the one tournament where still imagery is as important as footage - he says it's a model that other sporting events should take note of.
Javier has been a consistent Nikon user, having owned the D3, D4 and most recently the D5. He's also been using the Nikon 200mm f/4 macro lens. This is an old lens, at more than 20 years old, but Javier says using it is about differentiating himself from other photographers. He says a combination of the beautiful lighting at Wimbledon and experimenting with what you can achieve helps him to get images that allow him to stand out from the crowd.
