Photoristic HD iPad App Performance

After opening up the app you need to open up a photo, or you can test the app with the sample shot. You can open photos that are in your photo library, from Dropbox, take a picture with the iPad camera or paste a copied one. When you've loaded your image, there are five buttons on the bottom of the screen - balance, hue, saturation, luminance and split tone. When in each one, if you press and hold on the screen and scroll up and down, there are a number of editing options. Sliding left and right when you have selected the editing option you require performs the required edit. It starts a 0% and has a range from -100% to +100%.

Also on the bottom is a slider which turns your image black and white, and changes the editing options to balance, black & white mix and split tone. The last button on the bottom is compare, press this to view your original image.

On the top of the screen you'll find the presets - they are in one long list, but are split into sections. Unfortunately it's not easy to add more than one preset without saving and reloading the saved image. When you have selected a preset you are able to further edit the preset using the sliders from the editing options on the bottom of the screen. Below you'll find examples of each of the presets.

There is also a button to reset your picture back to its original. The button in the top right hand corner allows you to save your image to the photo library, email, print, save to Dropbox or share via Facebook or Twitter.

Photoristic HD iPad App Verdict

For enhancing the colour in your picture, you can't really go wrong with the Photorisitc iPad app. You can't perform edits such as cropping, rotating etc. so you can't just rely on Photorisitic for all your photo editing. The app is very easy to use, if you do get a little stuck you can call upon the help screen instantly. The range of presets are great and other editing options such balance, hue, saturation, luminance and split tone mean you can go even further with your editing.
