A piercing and captivating portrait has been awarded the Photo of the Week accolade this week.
The image, called 'Walk The Line' was taken by ePz member Durante and here's why we thought it deserved to win:
This is a classic and honest portrait of a suave looking fellow, holding a captivating gaze and making direct eye contact with the viewer. The black suit he is wearing is visible on the black background only by the seams and a slight sheen on the fabric - adding a sense of mystery to the image.
Lighting has been used very well on the face - hiding any unflattering shadows and ensuring the eyes, nose cheeks and chin are lit accordingly. The catchlight has been placed perfectly in the top of the pupils. The square crop gives the overall image a modern feel and this capture wouldn't look out of place in a gallery.
Photo of the week winners currently receive a 32GB EVO MicroSDHC card with SD adapter courtesy of Samsung. See all the winners of the accolade in the POTW gallery.
