Polaroid Launch Waterproof Cameras and Accessories

Polaroid had a big press event showing their latest cameras, and several new products, including the re-entry of Polaroid into the instant camera market with a Polaroid styled digital camera and printer in one. They've done this before, however this model prints full size polaroid prints, while the last model printed much smaller photos.

Polaroid Z340 (Grey Label) Lady Gaga Camera + Printer - we had a look at the new printer which is due to be available this December, priced at £229, with 30 prints costing £12.99. The camera features a 14 megapixel sensor, auto focus, a pop up screen, and numerous controls such as manual white balance, ISO100 to ISO6400, plus the ability to print 3 x 4 inch polaroid snaps. Polaroid X800E - A new waterproof digital camera will be available for £49 from Amazon / Firebox, from October. It has an 8 megapixel sensor and is waterproof to 3 metres.

Polaroid X720E - A new waterproof camcorder, now that Flip are no longer in the camcorder market, Polaroid want a piece of the pie. It records 720p, 30fps, video, takes Micro SD, and has a 2 inch screen, it will be available for £69,  from Amazon and Firebox.

Polaroid GL10 (Grey Label) Printer - the new printer is available for £119 - and connects via bluetooth, USB, or dedicated android / blackberry app. Printing 3 x 4 inch photos with or without a border. It uses the same battery as the Z340, and 30 prints cost £12.99.
 

Terminator Tripod (not it's real name, it's just what all the chrome made me think of) - The "All Terrain" Tripod comes in a box with three different leg attachments, normal, suction, and magnetic feet.

The interesting thing we noted is that the feet are attached with normal tripod screws, so you can screw the individual feet into a camera's tripod socket directly and then stick it to something using the sucker, or use the magnetic feet to stick it to your fridge (or anywhere else). These could be extremely useful for compact cameras with interval shooting such as the waterproof Pentax Optio WG1 (note it's waterproof so you could stick it outside somewhere weather prone for interesting shots).

LED Flash - LED Video Light Panel for HD DSLR with 112 LEDs, built in adjustable dimmer. Also a Mini Rechargeable LED light bar with 36 LEDs.

Three Flashes - Traditional flashes are available including a small flash and larger TTL bounce flash, both available for Canon and Nikon cameras. There's also a dual flash (PL150), shown above on the Terminator Tripod, it features LED lights for video as well as a flash, and will be available for £129.
