Polaroid Snap touch

The Polaroid Snap Touch camera, originally announced at Photokina, is now available for pre-order.

The camera has a 4.5 inch LCD touchscreen used for framing shots and navigating the camera's menu. It also has a 1080p video recording facility and a 13 megapixel CMOS sensor. Images and videos are stored on a MicroSD card.

The camera can print instant images the size of a credit card using ZINK Zero Ink printing technology. It's bluetooth enabled for integration with the Polaroid Print app.

The camera can now be pre-ordered for £169.99.

Very nice concept, funny thing is i have had lots of weird dreams recently where polaroid cameras feature in them, but i refuse to buy one simply because polaroid papers use animal products in them, well they used to, and i cannot find any information anywhere online that tells me the new polaroid films from the impossible project are any different, so i wonder if this new Zero Ink paper will be any different, something i am going to have to look into because i would dearly love an instant film camera to use for personal use. The fact you can save images digitally is a big plus, some might say it takes away from the instant film experience but, technology evolves, i thought this would happen sooner or later, never knew i would be reading this on this website today though. I will email the makers to find out more information on this.

Ok so I emailed them via their website, and I have been assured that no animal based products are used in tier Zero Ink paper, which is really good news for vegans like myself who have been waiting patiently for an animal friendly based instant film product, very good news indeed. If only 35mm film did not contain gelatin then I would shoot some 35mm now and then but my ethics prevent me from doing so, so my hat is doffed to Polaroid for this new product. I am going to pre-order the pink one I think Smile #ChristmasHasComeEarly
