Portfoliobox has had an update to improve its website building system photographers can use to create their own websites.
| Web / InternetPortfoliobox, an online website builder that is used by more than 250.000 creatives from all around the world, has released a new version of its website building tool.
According to founders Gustav Degerman and Hamid Abouei the new version is not just a simple update: "We have actually rebuilt Portfoliobox from the ground up," they told ePHOTOzine.
Portfoliobox 3 is built with the latest web technologies that improve performance and usability. For example, the new admin panel is always accessible and when the user edits something the website is updated instantly. According to Gustav Degerman, 'live editing' improves the usability significantly as 'you see what you do and you have more control'.
Even though Portfoliobox 3 has been rebuilt from the ground up, old users will still be familiar with the essence of the product. Since Portfoliobox is made for creatives the most important features such as the galleries, blog and e-commerce are still available, plus Portfoliobox 3 also includes several new features such as parallax pages, form builder and templates for Smart Phones.
"We have worked really hard with the new version of Portfoliobox", said Hamid Abouei. "We have gathered thousands of request and utilized the latest web technologies to create something extraordinary. We hope that Portfoliobox 3 will be the best website builder in the world for creatives."
Portfoliobox is available in two versions: Free and a premium package that costs $83/year.
