Creating good product photography of glass objects is a lot harder than it looks - if you've ever tried to shoot professional-looking product shots then you'll know that there's a lot more work involved than first meets the eye.

Youtuber workphlo has created a very informative video showing you the various stages and ways of shooting a vodka bottle, including post-production. From setup and background to lighting techniques and how to light the bottle in different ways and then create a composite of the image for maximum effect is all covered. Take a look at the video above to learn the technique.

"Vodka bottles make for great product photography. A clear substance can be given volume by a backlight - which we have combined with a diffuser for a smooth clean look to our bottle. By understanding the material finish of our label, we can approach each area intent and flatter our image where possible." - Workphlo
