Recent supports suggest that the iPhone 5 camera might have a flaw in its camera.

It's been reported that the camera creates a purple haze when photographing bright light sources. This could potentially ruin many of your photos, with an unsightly purple haze around the light source.

Mashable's test photos show the issue really well when compared to pictures from the iPhone 4S and the Nikon D300.

It has been suggested that the issue is either a sofware fault, or something to do with the sapphire lens cover Apple have used on the iPhone 5.

We'd like to know your view on the iPhone 5 camera. Have you had problems with a purple haze? Let us know.

Purple haze? Now in the sixties that would have been a real benefit.

Everyone loves intstagram so much these days - I'd have thought they would have liked this instant 'old camera' effect !!

The moral is if you point a camera of any type at the sun, you can get colour fringing and flare. Looks like we still need cameras....Smile
