Red Digital Cinema Announce Hydrogen One Smartphone

Red say the Hydrogen One is the World's First Holographic Media Machine. A smartphone that features a 3D screen that doesn't require glasses. The device is modular, to allow future expansion.

Looking at the first picture of the smartphone, it also appears as though it features dual cameras on the rear.

The smartphone is available for pre-order, and Red are planning on releasing the phone in the first quarter of 2018. Here's what we know so far:

• 5.7inch "Hydrogen Holographic" Display - This seemlessly switches between 2D content (at full screen resolution), holographic multi-view content, stereo 3D content, and interative games, with both landsape and portrait modes. 
• View 2D/3D VR, AR and MR
• Runs Android
• Multi-band smartphone
• USB-C connection
• MicroSD slot

The Hydrogen One will integrate into the RED camera system, working with the Red Scarlet, EPIC and Weapon as a user interface and monitor. 

The price is $1195 (US dollars) for the Aluminium smartphone, and $1595 for the Titanium version.
