The information was shared by the Global VP for Xiaomi & M for Xiaomi India Manu Kumar Jain on social media and, according to Android Authority, at a press conference in China, Xiaomi said the 64MP smartphone will feature the Samsung GW-1 sensor and it will be released in India during Q4 2019.

For now, we just have 48-megapixel sensor smartphones to shoot images with but Xiaomi has also promised that 108MP smartphones could be coming soon after they partnered with Samsung to create an ISOCELL Bright HMX smartphone sensor which is the first in the smartphone industry to go beyond 100MP.
