Nikon USA have issued an apology and notice that the release of the Nikon D6 professional DSLR will be delayed due to measures implemented to stop the spread of coronavirus.

The D6 was due to be released in March 2020, however the release has now been pushed back with Nikon planning to release it in May 2020, all being well.

Nikon state that delays in the procurement of parts and components from a third-party company due to measures implemented in response to the spread of COVID-19 is to blame.

They also said that they will be closely monitoring the situation and are doing their utmost to deliver the D6 to market as soon as possible.
