Did you know there are lots of options to retouch your images within the Nikon D7100?
| Nikon D7100 in Digital Camera Operation
The Nikon D7100 features lots of in-camera retouch options for your photos. Here, we look at some of the most useful ones.
Red-eye correction - Red-eye often happens when people look straight at the lens of the camera, as flash light reflects from the retina. This function is quick and easy to use in camera, allowing you to get rid of the red-eye as and when an effected photo is taken, saving you time later on.
Filter Effects - This option lets you apply filter effects to your photos. If you take a photo that doesn't look quite right, these filters can help you to fix that straight away in the field. You can add skylight, warm filter, red intensifier, green intensifier, blue intensifier, cross screen and soft effects to your images.
Modify Colour Balance - This option lets you modify the colour balance of the image you've taken. So, for example if you'd like a brighter sky, or more vibrant greenery, then you can adjust the colours to suit.
Straighten The Image - If you find that you've got the horizon slightly wonky on your image but otherwise it's great, then this tool will let you straighten the image accordingly.
D-lighting - The D-lighting option allows you to brighten shadows, making it a great tool to use on dark or backlit photographs to show the foreground interest up more clearly. For example, if you take a portrait with the lighting behind the model, then the face may appear dark. D-lighting can help to combat this and make faces brighter.
