Samsung W2018

Samsung China has announced a new premium smartphone with a variable aperture that can switch between the bright f/1.5 aperture, and an f/2.4 aperture. The camera features a 12mp sensor, optical image stabilisation, 4K video, and has the brightest aperture of any smartphone, with the next closest, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, featuring an f/1.6 aperture.

The W2018 smartphone features dual 4.2inch touch-screens, and a flip-phone design. The smartphone is priced at 15,999 CNY, which is £1800 at current exchange rates. So while you may not be interested in purchasing this phone, it's possible that this camera technology will be used in future Samsung smartphones.
