Samsung has apparently fixed the (embarrassing) screen issues the test version of the Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphone had, meaning consumers may be able to purchase the device before Christmas arrives. 

According to Bloomberg, the tech giant is now in the final stages of producing a version of the Samsung Galaxy Fold, but no new official release date has been announced. There is an 'unpack' event taking place in August but this will more likely we about a new Galaxy Note10 smartphone and not the folding device.

The main issue Samsung has fixed is the ability to peel off a protective film from the screen which some reviewers reported was quite easy to do. Samsung's done this by adding more tension to the film so it doesn't look like something that can be detached. A source also told Bloomberg that the new film should also reduce the chances of a crease appearing in the middle of the screen. 

Price & More Folding Smartphones

A retail price of around £1800 still remains which is £200 less than the Huawei Mate X folding smartphone announced at the WMC in Barcelona earlier this year. Samsung's also rumoured to be working on other folding smartphone designs which include a clamshell-style smartphone.
