Samsung's folding screen on the Galaxy Fold seems to be having a few issues as the devices keep breaking on those testing them out.
| Samsung Galaxy Fold in Camera PhonesThe Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphone is due to be released on 3 May 2019 but those testing the folding smart devices are having a few issues with the screen.
Some bloggers/journalists are reporting that the screen goes black or are saying half of the screen likes to 'flicker on and off'. Others, who may not have read the instructions close enough, have tried peeling off a thin layer of plastic they presumed was a screen protector - it's not and breaks the screen if you do so.
Let's hope the issues are fixed before consumers start getting hold of the device as Samsung doesn't want another nightmare as they had with the Galaxy Note 7 catching fire.
In case you missed the launch event, the new Galaxy Fold features a 7.3-inch Infinity Flex display and a whopping 6 camera lenses! When folded, the device has a 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOILED cover screen with a 10-megapixel f/2.2 selfie camera.
As well as Samsung, OPPO has revealed a folding smartphone and so has Huawei with the Mate X which has a rear 6.3-inch and front 6.6-inch screen when in smartphone size and when folded out, you have a phablet size screen that measures 8-inches.
