What's New On The Samsung Galaxy Fold? 

Samsung has extended the top protective layer of the display to make it clear that it's an integral part of the display and not meant to be removed (some reviewers were trying to peel it off when on test), the hinges have been strengthened, the space between the hinges/body has been reduced and additional metal layers underneath the Infinity Flex Display have been included to reinforce the protection of the display.

"We’ve made improvements to Galaxy Fold to ensure consumers have the best possible experience," says Samsung. "We've taken the time to fully evaluate the product design, make necessary improvements and run rigorous tests to validate the changes we made."

Samsung has also praised its customers/fans saying: "All of us at Samsung appreciate the support and patience we’ve received from Galaxy fans all over the world. Galaxy Fold is a device long in the making, and we’re proud to share it with the world and look forward to bringing it to consumers."

Price & More Folding Smartphones

Samsung says they are in the final stages of testing and the Samsung Galaxy Fold will be available to consumers, from September, in select markets with more information on exact availability details to be shared nearer the time of launch. 

A retail price of around £1800 still remains which is £200 less than the Huawei Mate X folding smartphone announced at the WMC in Barcelona earlier this year. 

Samsung Galaxy Note10 Announcement 

Before the September arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Fold, an event is taking place in August to announce the arrival of the new Galaxy Note10 smartphone. Samsung's also rumoured to be working on other folding smartphone designs which include a clamshell-style smartphone.
