Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus offer a 16mp ultra-wide-angle camera, a 12mp f/1.5-2.4 standard wide-angle camera, and a 12mp f/2.4 telephoto camera. The 12mp telephoto camera is nice to see, as many competitors use an 8mp telephoto camera instead. You've also got a bright f/1.5-2.4 main camera, and you can record 4K video from all of the cameras, including the front "selfie" camera. Both the standard and the telephoto cameras feature optical image stabilisation, helping with low-light photography, and improved video quality. Speaking of low-light photography, the Night mode works very well, giving impressive results.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ offer the same great camera setup, giving you the choice of screen size, and battery life.

The front selfie camera benefits from auto-focus, something lacking for a lot of other smartphones, and combined with 4K video recording, this could be a real game changer for people using their smartphone as their main video camera.

You get consistently good results from all of the cameras, with no difference to be found in colour reproduction when switching from one to the other, which can't always be said about other premium smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus and S10 5G offer premium features, excellent results, and a great smartphone experience. There's only a few minor niggles, and it's likely the biggest drawback is the price of these premium smartphones. If you're buying sim-free, then these are still quite expensive smartphones. Considering the recent woes faced by other smartphone companies, if you're looking for a premium multi-camera smartphone, then getting the Samsung Galaxy S10 / S10 Plus is a great choice.
