The Samsung PRO Endurance MicroSD card is, as it says on the label, a high endurance memory card that's designed for video monitoring, surveillance, dashcam, body cam use, or anything else that requires constant recording. The card has read speeds up to 100MB/s, write speeds up to 30MB/s, a 5-year limited warranty, and is also waterproof, temperature proof, magnet proof, and x-ray proof.

The memory card offers a lifespan up to 43,800 hours, which is currently the industry best. That's enough for 1,825 days (at 24hours/day), or 5 years (at 365days/year), of continuous recording. The card is available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB sizes, although it's only the 128GB card that has a 5-year life, with the other cards having shorter guarantees. The card has a Class 10 rating and is a UHS-I (U:1) card. 

Designed for always-on applications - surveillance, body cam, dashcams, security systems, the Samsung PRO Endurance card may not be the first choice for photographers, but you may want to consider it if you use a dashcam in your car, a security camera in your home or office, or if you use a wildlife camera or an action camera.

It's water-resistant, surviving up to 72 hours in seawater. X-Ray proof, which includes X-ray machines at airports. Magnet-proof. Temperature proof from -25C to 85C. Authentication Samsung Memory Card / UFD Authentication Utility available. An SD Adapter included, although this only has a 1year warranty.

Samsung PRO Endurance MicroSD Performance

To test the read and write times of these cards, we used a USB 3.0 card reader and CrystalDiskMark 6.0.1 x64 (USB 3, UHS-II)

Samsung Pro Endurance Crystal Disk Mark Results:

• Read: 94.65MB/s
• Write: 35.65MB/s

With fast read speeds, it will be quick to get content off the card. However, the write speed isn't as fast as write speeds on Samsung's EVO and PRO memory cards. 

Value For Money

The Samsung PRO Endurance MicroSD card is available for £24 for the 32GB version, £42 for the 64GB version, and £76 for the 128GB version. This makes it 2.3-2.6x more expensive than the Samsung EVO Plus alternatives, however, these cards don't tend to come with an endurance rating.

Samsung PRO Endurance MicroSD Verdict

If you're looking for a memory card that will be in continuous use, such as in a dashcam, security or other devices, then the Samsung PRO Endurance microSD memory card looks like the ideal choice. If the card survives continuous use and means you have the data and record of something important, compared to not having it, then the card will have paid for itself. 

The Samsung PRO Endurance offers a long life rating beyond what others are offering.
