Samsung has won Best European Advanced Compact System Camera 2012 -2013 at this year's EISA awards.

Samsung's NX20 scooped the award. EISA judges felt the NX20 stood out from the competition, particularly because of its innovative, built-in Wi-Fi, that “allows the photographer to e-mail stunning images or post them on social media sites directly from the camera.”

Samsung also won EISA Awards for it's televisions, a home theatre system, and the Galaxy S III smart phone, bringing its total awards this year to four.

There has been so much hype over the last couple of years about how good the micro 4thirds compact system cameras are, and yes they are good but its refreshing to see an APS-C compact system camera win this award for a change and its well deserved.
Samsung are in a unique position, they have no history or legacy to fall back on like most of the other manufacturers, so every thing is new from the ground up and they had no design contraints that could compromise the design or spec. Well done Samsung.
