Schneider 18mm Xenon Full Frame Lens Launches: Schneider 18mm Xenon Full Frame Lens

Back at the start of the year, Schneider introduced its line-up of Xenon full-frame prime lenses to the UK with promise of an 18mm T2.4, 25mm T2.1, 35mm T2.1, 50mm T2.1 and 100mm T2.1 focal lengths becoming available at a later date and today, the lens company has announced that the 18mm lens can now be pre-ordered.

The new 18mm is available in feet and metre scales and in Canon EF/Nikon/PL/Sony E Mount fittings. Weighing 1530g, the 18mm lens is the fastest in the market at T2.4 with a close focus of 0.4m. It is identical in size to the rest of the Full Frame Prime lens range, which allows for quick swapping of the lenses with no adjustment to the rig.

As with the rest of the Xenon Full Frame Prime lens range, the 18mm features a reliable optical and mechanical design that performs well. Each T stop on the lens provides a smooth and consistent bokeh due the to the circular 14 blade aperture and the consistent sizes and gear locations across the range ensure easy compatibility with existing cameras and accessories.

The 18mm Xenon Full Frame Prime lens is available to pre-order now for £5499.95.
