Nikon D5 in Interchangeable Lenses

Joel Marklund is a sports photographer who's been in the business for almost a decade. He's constantly striving to get that one perfect shot when he's trackside. He's been using the Nikon D5.

In a blog about Joel, Nikon said: "Joel’s love of sports meant he naturally gravitated to his subjects. Like the athletes under pressure to perform with one chance to win, he too embraced high-pressure moments where there is often only one opportunity to get the perfect shot. The more he strove, the more he learnt how to be focused and determined in a competitive industry. Curious by nature, it also gave him the chance to explore the advantages of being behind the scenes to present another aspect of someone’s life."

Joel remarks, "I love shooting people, especially close-up, as you can communicate what the subject is truly feeling. The eyes are particularly important to capture, they convey the most emotion and are so important in making the viewer 'feel' something. I always want to communicate what a subject is thinking in order to generate genuine feeling."
