Sigma 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM A in Interchangeable Lenses

Sigma 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM
The Sigma 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM, from the Sigma 'Art' line, is a standard zoom lens with a shooting range from wide to mid-telephoto. It features a constant aperture of f/4, OS (Optical Stabilizer) and HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor).

The lens' wide zoom ring ensures convenient handling while the inner focusing system eliminates front lens rotation, enhancing the lens' stability and allowing the use of Circular Polarizing filters. The lens is also ideal for close-up photography with a minimum focusing distance of 45cm and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:4.6.

Its Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting, plus it also provides sharp and high contrast images. The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) ensures a silent, high-speed AF function and with an Optimizing AF algorithm, smoother AF is achieved.

This lens incorporates a brass made bayonet mount which has both high accuracy and durability, plus a special treatment to reinforce its strength is applied to the surface giving it greater strength and making it highly resistant to long-term use.

Improvements have been made to the lens cap and AF/MF changeover switch and a newly developed 'USB Dock' is now available with new Sigma product lines. By attaching the lens to the optional USB Dock, users can plug the lens to a computer and use the dedicated Sigma Optimization Pro software to update the lens firmware and adjust parameters such as focus.

The new 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM ART lens has an RRP of £849.99. Canon fit will be available in November. Availability of Sigma, Nikon and Sony mount is still to be confirmed.
