Sigma Dp0 Quattro Black (7)

The Sigma dp0 Quattro is a wide-angle 14mm f/4 version of the Sigma dpx Quattro series and features the same Foveon sensor and camera body as the dp1 and dp2 which we have previously reviewed. We had a chance to have a hands-on look at the new camera the The Photography Show at the NEC, Birmingham UK. The camera records 39 megapixel JPEG images, 19 megapixel raw images.

Unfortunately the camera was pre-production and we were unable to take any photos with the camera, so we will have to wait until review samples are available before we can look at the image quality and performance of the camera. The Sigma dp0 Quattro with a 14mm f/4 lens, equivalent to 21mm in 35mm terms, is one of the largest Quattro's yet with the lens being particularly large in comparison to the other cameras. As Sigma are known for making extremely high quality lenses, we are expecting good results from the new camera. Sigma has not yet announced the price and availability of the new dp0.

This is starting to get ridicules. Just make a damn Quattro mirrorless! This could've been the fourth lens in a pretty awesome system.
