Sigma Sd Quattro (7)

The new Sigma sd Quattro is a replacement and update to the Sigma SD1 Merrill DSLR camera, and features the same APS-C Foveon sensor as the Sigma dp series. The sensor features 33 megapixels with a 19.6 megapixel top layer to record blue colour information, with red and green layers underneath. We will be publishing our full review shortly, but in the meantime, simply click "High Res" to view the full-size images from this new camera.

I have such a love for Sigma cameras!

Don't know why, I am not even that impressed with the Foveon sensor (I had a DP1), but I just love their camera designs.

Impressive clarity of detail in the test shots, though with some colour aberration....cleared up
in the processed version nicely......look forward to the full test !!.Smile

Does this mean EPZ is going to review this camera? That would be interesting.

BTW, "The sensor features 33 megapixels ..." needs to be corrected.
