The AI Structure Tool in Luminar 4 helps add detail to a photograph automatically without negatively affecting people or other subjects.

After announcing a new AI Sky Replacement tool that will feature in Luminar 4, Skylum has now introduced a content-aware AI Structure tool that will also be built into the software which will be released this Autumn.
AI Structure in Luminar 4 automatically identifies objects like people and their faces, skin, sky, buildings and more, and improves them intelligently without much input needed from the photographer but instead of adding 'structure' (more detail/clarity) to an entire photograph, it selectively does so, meaning photographers no longer have to mask or brush out the effect.
"Past methods of adding more Structure, details or clarity to images meant that photographers would get unpredictable results with very little control. It also added noise and halos to images. And if a person was present in an image, it would add more detail to their skin, which was often unwanted," says Skylum.
The new machine-learning technology boosts hidden details and improves local contrast, too.
Pricing for Luminar 4 will be announced at a later time.
